SLV Water District Responds to Communications Challenges

SLVChamber

San Lorenzo Valley Water District Interim General Manager Brian Frus responds to recent communications challenges that significantly impacted the downtown Boulder Creek business community over the past several weeks:

“I wanted to personally acknowledge the recent feedback the San Lorenzo Valley Water District has received from the business community regarding recent service outages. The District current efforts to upgrade its infrastructure can be likened to performing open heart surgery on an aging and sometimes unpredictable system. While the efforts to replace old pipes, tanks, and pumps will vastly improve system reliability and fire protection, the District recognizes they have been slow and inconvenient for our customers, particularly businesses. Staff has gone the extra mile to address pipeline breaks and water shutoffs as quickly as possible. However, the District appreciates the need for better communication and is making improvements to messaging through our website, social media, and email systems and continues to welcome customer feedback. Also fortunate is that most of the work is now behind us and all that remains is one last connection and the completion of the paving work.”

Business owners should reach out to the SLV Water District at customerservice@slvwd.com or (831) 338-2153 with any questions or ongoing concerns, and to confirm their contact information.
